O C C U P A T I O N S

NAVIGATION Arbitration Officer Duties include mediating communications between crew and other areas of the ship. May work closely with those designated in Navigation, Medbay, or the Hold. Also present during foreign exchanges.   Assistant Librarian Duties include assisting the Head Librarian in sorting and maintaining the Library facility aboard the Moira.   Assistant Morale Officer Duties include noting and documenting morale of the crew and activities based on increasing said morale. May also work closely with Navigation and the Public Relations Officer.   Chief Engineer Duties include service and maintenance of the ship's engines. Communication between the Tower and Navigation are essential. Other tasks may require testing of the Moira's power grid via Navigation directly to the engines.   Head Librarian Duties include sourcing new materials and maintaining the collection, as well as assisting crew with locating materials.   Location Scout Duties include scouting the layout of new areas prior to the general population coming off ship, and searching areas of interest for information and the good of the crew.   Media Distribution Officer/Hub Manager Work includes courier duties, especially important during mail drops, and managing the Recording and Broadcast Hub, as well as putting together and distributing entertainment content for the ship. Management duties include care of the equipment located in the Hub and keeping track of borrowed items.   MID Technician Duties include developing new applications/programs for the Moira's communication devices, as well as optimizing existing technology.   Navigation Operations Technician Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in travel planning, advising the ship's captains of estimated timing to destinations while en route, and ensuring hazards are avoided. In charge of maintaining the ship's nautical charts, nautical publications, and navigational equipment, and has a general responsibility for meteorological equipment and communications.   Wing Repair Officer Duties include maintaining the state of the Moira's solar sails. Communication with Navigation and any engineers are crucial in emergency repairs as power must be diverted and stored so life support systems do not fail. Involves leaving the artificial atmosphere generated by the Moira and working in space.       THE TOWER MID Technician Duties include developing new applications/programs for the Moira's communication devices, as well as optimizing existing technology.   Morale Officer Duties include noting and documenting morale of the crew and activities based on increasing said morale. May also work closely with Navigation and the Public Relations Officer.   Operations Specialist Duties include liaising with Navigation and Defense to assemble cultural and tactical-intelligence profiles of surrounding space and submit recommendations accordingly.   Personnel Officer Duties include ensuring the crew's abilities and time are best utilized in order to keep the ship running efficiently. They recommend job changes by request or need and keep tabs on the crew.   Personnel Officer Assistant Duties include helping the Personnel Officer(s) with their duties and book keeping, arranging schedules and meetings if needed.   Stealth Operative Duties include getting in and out of locked down areas when requested by the captains or other crew members.   Workshift Coordinator Duties include coordinating work shifts for all departments and personnel throughout the Moira. Works closely with all departments of the ship, especially those with multiple crew members.       MEDBAY Counseling Operative: Duties include (but are not limited to) listening to and recording crew members' problems/concerns while maintaining an awareness of any psychological needs. May work with those in Medbay as well as the Chief Morale Officer.   Field Medic Duties include seeing and treating all injured or ill persons when on planets or in emergency situations.   Hypnotherapist Duties include utilizing this form of psychotherapy to create subconscious change in a patient in the form of new responses, thoughts, attitudes, behaviors or feelings.   Inorganic GP Duties include providing medical care specialized to the needs of robots, AI, or other inorganic crewmembers.   Medbay Technician Duties include restocking of any supplies needed throughout the Medbay and keeping inventory of stock. Also has access to the labs and rooms and is responsible for those who enter and use the facilities.   Physician Duties include seeing and treating all injured or ill persons in the Medbay. Works closely with any Medbay personnel.   Physician Assistant/ Technician Duties include first aid and treatment of patients with minor injuries, assisting the physicians and other staff with more complicated treatment, keeping the medbay and all equipment clean and sterile, and maintaining and organizing the stock.   Underaged Crew Caretaking Officer Duties include monitoring and caring for all underaged or minor crew members; feeding, making sure they get an education, and anything else to see to their needs and general well being.   Veterinarian Duties include providing crew services for animal care, research, and teaching as well as running the veterinary clinic.       DEFENSE Advanced Weapons Technician: Duties include analyzing and developing weapons technologies that can be used for defensive purposes.   Counterintelligence Officer Duties include detecting, identifying, assessing, countering, exploiting and/or neutralizing adversarial, foreign intelligence services, galaxy-wide adversarial organizations, and ship-specific insider threats.   Defense Specialist (Bow) Duties include maintaining and operating defenses located in the bow of the Moira. Communication between the Tower and Main Gunnery are crucial.   Mechanic Duties include repair and upkeep of various vehicles of the Moira. May work closely with engineers as well as those in the Cargo Bay or those who are designated to fly.   Personal Defense Specialist Duties include training crew members in self-defense and instructing those that want to learn to protect themselves or learn advanced techniques.   Radio Technician Duties include creating and running the Moira's first radio show.   Security Monitor Internal security monitor for the ship. Duties include internal patrol, monitoring potential hazards, and reporting or neutralizing dangerous situations that might occur.   Ship Security Officer Duties include patrolling the ship, responding to reported disturbances and conflicts, and defending Moira personnel and property from both internal and external threats.   Stealth Operative Duties include getting in and out of locked down areas when requested by the captains or other crew members.   Transporter Pilot Duties include flying and navigating the transporters, as well as working with the transporter technicians in the cargo bay to keep the transporters in top condition.   Transporter Supervisor Duties include coordinating the transporter crew for exploration or defense, screening potential pilots, and ensuring the flight deck is properly operated and maintained.   Transporter Technician Duties include keeping the transporters in top working order to ensure safe and efficient planet exploration, as well as flying when needed.   Weapons Specialist Duties include maintaining inventory weapons, repair and construction of weaponry, designing and employing warfare tactics and techniques, and preparing combat orders.   Welding Technician Duties include fortifying the ship against attacks and repairing any damage done to the ship.       SANITATION Electrical Maintenance Technician Duties include the design, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical wiring systems on the Moira.   Garden Attendant Duties include tending to the garden's plants, cataloging incoming specimens, and harvesting/cultivating as needed.   Gardener Duties include caring for the ship's plant-life, increasing the types of plants in the garden, and starting a program to grow crops.   Ventilation Technician Duties include cleaning and maintenance of the Moira's ventilation ducts.   Waste Disposal Technician Duties include maintaining and utilizing Sanitation units to dispose of ship waste and prevent contamination.   Water Filtration and Purification Technician Duties include assisting in maintaining all units in Sanitation as well as calibrating systems so they do not flood or overheat. Daily checks of the water supply is mandatory and must be reported to Navigation.   Window Transparency Enhancement Facilitator Duties include maintaining outer windows of the Moira in the Aft, Navigation, the Main Gunnery, and the Tower. Involves leaving the artificial atmosphere generated by the Moira to work in space and requires the handling of chemicals.       INGRESS Chief Science Officer Duties include supervising the science department in observing and theorising explanations for strange or otherwise unexplained circumstances. Science officers also monitor energy and radiation readings both inside and outside the ship.   Engineer Duties include service and maintenance of the ship's engines. Communication between the Tower and Navigation are essential. Other tasks may require testing of the Moira's power grid via Navigation directly to the engines.   Ingress Team Specialized Defense   Duties include defending the Ingress and its crew from any external or internal forces.   Mechanical Engineer Duties include design, construction, and maintenance of machinery on the ship, especially in relation to the Ingress. Will create new blueprints and schematics as necessary.   Starship Engineer Duties include design, repair, development, and general maintenance of the ship, with a focus on the Ingress.       GALLEY & MESS Chief of Hydroponics Duties include overseeing all planting, cultivating, and harvesting of food, medicine, and plant products in the hydroponics garden.   Cook Duties include preparing meals, cleaning dishes and preparation areas.   General Education Teacher Duties include creating a curriculum for teaching the crew basic education and skills.
